South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has decided to link the disbursement of salary of its teachers to the biometric attendance machine in its all schools. According to the proposal the salary of employees would be deducted if they fail to mark their attendance.
Jl Gupta, Director (Education) SDMC said bio metric attendance system will be strictly enforced in all schools to ensure punctuality and regularity of teachers.
“Those teachers who fail to mark their attendance on time in machines, their salary will be deducted accordingly,” he said. Gupta said all principals, teachers and non teaching staff s have been instructed to follow the orders.
In case of bio metric machine is not working, teaching staff can immediately report the malfunctioning of the machine to the corporation's headquarter and to IT department, he said.
