A delegation of Sikh and Punjabi leaders felicitated Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday for making a provision of Rs100 crore in the Budget 2016 for the celebration of Guru Gobind Singh’s 350th Anniversary.

The delegation was led by BJP national secretary RP Singh and organising secretary of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat Avinash Jaiswal on Saturday and they presented a saropa as a part of the felicitation to Jaitely.

During the event, Jaitley lauded the role of the Sikhs and Gurdwaras in the freedom movement, agriculture, industry, defence, natural calamities and other social activities of the country. “The amount being released in the honor of Guru Gobind Singh is inspired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Sarv Dharm Sambhav ideal,” said Jaitely.
