Speculation about former BJP Rajya Sabha MP Navjot Singh Sidhu joining Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is rife after he met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at his residence on Saturday morning. According to sources, Sidhu may join the party on August 18.
Sources said former BJP Member of Parliament (MP) and his wife Navjot Kaur, who is a BJP MlA from Amritsar are likely to join AAP this month, but only the latter may contest elections on AAP ticket. The AAP constitution doesn’t allow two members of a family to hold any office within the party, including the elected post, said sources.
