Senior Congress leader and MP from Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor on Saturday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue of bringing back black money stashed abroad.
Responding to a question on the present NDA Government bringing back the black money after delivering a keynote address on the topic ‘India in today’s networked world’ at IIM-Bengaluru, Tharoor said what the Government has brought back is money that the previous Government was already in the course of bringing back. He said “the procedures that had already begun was continued by the present government...” Tharoor also targeted Modi and his Government, saying they had not fullfiled the poll promise of depositing Rs 15 lakh in every Indians account.
