Faridabad Police, on Saturday, claimed to have solved the murder of Shashi Nagar by arresting two persons, while five of the accused are still at large. Five police teams are looking for them, raiding at adjoining districts — Palwal, Ballabhgarh, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Meerut and Mewat.
Police said both the accused persons — Dinesh Pandit(23), a resident of Palwal and Pawan (25), a resident of Ankhir — murdered Nagar along with their five associates due to enmity over a property dispute. Nagar was shot died by seven armed goons when he was waiting for his lawyer at the district court on August 22.
"We are investigating the case and will soon arrest the other five absconding persons. We have also recovered two pistols from the arrested men. We will produce Dinesh and Pawan before the court and seek remand to get more leads in the case," said AS Chawla, Police Commissioner of Faridabad.
Police had registered a case of murder against seven accused persons at the Central Police Station.
