Yet another ruling alliance MlA in Bihar has hit the headlines for wrong reasons. This time the allegation is more serious than the previous ones. RJD’s controversial MlA from Nawada Raj Ballabh Yadav has been accused to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl. Police have ordered arrest of the lawmaker.
The gory incident happened on February 6 and the FIR was lodged on February 9 with women police station in Nawada. DIG Patna range Shalin investigated the case and prima facie found the charges of the victim true. Shalin said the RJD MlA took the victim to the house identified by her where she was raped. She also identified the MlA, who was coming out of the home. “I have issued order for the arrest of the MlA and directed the SP Nawada and DSP concerned,” he said.
It is not the first time Yadav has been accused for wrong doings. But it appears that he is quite close to RJD supremo lalu Prasad and he pressed JD(U) and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to give Nawada seat to the RJD even though it was held by JD(U)’s Poornima Yadav. Raj Ballabh had also been a Minister during Rabri Devi regime despite allegations of heinous crime against him.
