Pakistani Taliban ban 'tight or thin' clothes during Ramzan

A Pakistani Taliban group on Saturday banned the use of “tight or thin” clothes both for men and women in the holy month of Ramzan and warned of one month imprisonment for not fasting.

The Ramzan code of conduct guidelines was issued in a pamphlet after the Mullah Nazir Taliban Group held a shura meeting in Wana headquarters of South Waziristan Agency. Tight or thin clothes have been banned for both men and women during the holy month, the pamphlet stated. “We warn the shopkeepers and tailors with severe punishments (for violating the rule). Fine up to Rs  50,000 would be imposed on those found guilty,” the pamphlet read.
