While presenting the blueprint for the youth of Delhi, convener of the Delhi Dialogue by the Aam Aadmi Party Ashish Khetan on Saturday said that the party’s motive was to bring technology in governance in such a way that there is no scope for corruption. According to him, if the public can directly connect with the Government through their mobile phones, the middlemen will be deleted from the picture hence, making processes cleaner. The idea was suggested by founder of Seedfund Mahesh Murthy.

Murthy explained, “One of my suggestions to AAP while we were deliberating on various issues was that can Delhi’s Government reach the public over a phone, through an application where with one press of a button the user has information regarding PWD or water, power or any other sector. This way the user can see what that sector is currently doing to further the development of the country. Simultaneously, they can file a complaint and even track the progress on the complaint through the phone. Initiating such a technology won’t be too expensive for the Government and can be possible in maximum a year’s time.”

Meanwhile, Khetan also highlighted that Delhi has six out of 10 of the world’s most historic monuments. “Then why can’t Delhi be made a tourist hubIJ Tourism will ensure more business in retail, food and beverage sector. This will also increase employment,” he said.
