Am I cursedIJ” This question was posed by an astrologer in his mid-fifties, himself known for precise predictions. “For, my Moon, the mind-signifier, is not simply debilitated but being opposite Karmic Saturn. True to the fact that since nobody could be spared from what planets have to grant or deny, I have gone through very difficult phases. In fact, once in a state of desperation, I even made an unsuccessful suicidal attempt. Please resolve my dilemma and tell me when does life take a positive turnIJ”
I responded: “Well, if you are really cursed, how come you are able to make such precise predictionsIJ Does it not speak loud of your positive side as wellIJ But unless you work upon your inherent negative tendencies, how do you come out of their ill-effectsIJ”
There is nothing like being cursed or blessed. As nobody could be ever born perfect; each being carries both positive and negative trends simultaneously, coming as they may as reflection of Karmic imprints carried over from the past. Invariably, the positives are more. The usual human tendency, however, is that we get stuck on the few negatives. In the process, the positives often get ignored. Stuck to our negatives, often we do now allow space to the positives to play out. But whenever the positive side is invoked, it comes out with its beneficence.
let me add here that it is important for an astrologer to have a clear understanding of the dynamics of life holistically — the divine laws of nature driving the life cycle as a whole. But for that, the strength and limitations of astrology can’t be comprehended. Astrology can’t override the laws of nature.
Going by the laws of nature, all existences, but for human beings, are bound by design parameters driving them, and with no scope for making any exception. Human beings, on the contrary, enjoy choice option, whereby one could even chart out a self-designated path. Evidently, according to the nature of choices made, one has to bear with the consequences thereof. That traps human beings into a Karmic cycle driven by cause-effect chain, which stretches on to even successive lives. The Karmic imprints we carry hold the key to our inherent mind-traits, which in turn define our destiny trends.
In so far as the planets are concerned, they are nature’s energy providers from the front, available in equal proportion to all of us. Devoid of discriminating abilities, they can’t offer varying effects on different people. So, planets by themselves can’t be doers. How we respond to the radiations made available by them is subject to how our minds are inherently framed. Again, no individual planet is potent enough to have an overbearing influence on us. All nature-driven forces put together is what sustains the life cycle, thus calling for a synthesised view.
Now coming to the premise on which astrology works; if we look at nature’s dynamics, every point of the space remains in immediate and intimate connect with the rest, at least in energy frame. So, there remains correspondence between an individual’s energy structure to planets doing their round in the cosmos. So, a look at the planetary alignment at the time of one’s birth reveals the Karmic imprints one is born with. Having figured out one’s inherent trends, indwelling negatives can be addressed and potential further honed. Here again in this respect, it is the choice option that comes to one’s aid, when one can make conscientious choice to make necessary amends. So, planetary indications can’t be blindly taken as the final word.
