A 48-year-old woman was found murdered at her house on Friday night in Sector 36, Noida. The victim has been identified as Seema Mandloi. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Police said that the incident came to light around 10 pm when Seema’s husband, Sanjay Mandloi, informed police about the incident.

Police suspects robbery to be the motive behind the murder as the entire house was ransacked and valuables, like laptop, mobile phones, jewellery and cash, have been stolen. Her clothes were torn and her throat was slit which has raised doubts about involvement of some insider.

“The criminals have stabbed Seema with sharp weapons. We are exploring all possible angles and are waiting for the post-mortem report. We are scanning the CCTV footages of the nearby areas and call detail records (CDR) of the deceased. We are also questioning her neighbours,” said a senior police official.

Seema, a resident of Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh was living in Sector 36 with her husband and son, Ayush Mandloi. Seema was a housewife. She was alone in the house when the incident took place.
