Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi has ruled out the possibility of inducting RJD Chief lalu Prasad Yadav’s estranged brother-in-law Sadhu Yadav into the BJP.
Reacting to Sadhu Yadav’s meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar on Friday, Modi told newspersons that there was no question of taking Sadhu Yadav into BJP. He said that not much importance should be attached to the meeting between Narendra Modi and Sadhu Yadav as anybody can meet any person as there is no ban on this.
He said that neither Sadhu Yadav had expressed his willingness to join the BJP nor the party gave him any offer and hence there is no question of Yadav joining the BJP. Meanwhile, State Congress President Ashok Choudhary said that show cause notices would be issued to Sadhu Yadav and another senior Congress leader Dasai Choudhary for meeting Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar.
“Though it does not suit the stature of the state Congress president to comment on Sadhu Yadav’s deeds, I can only say that the party has taken cognisance of the meeting and a show cause notice would be issued to him,” he remarked. He said that Sadhu Yadav is an ordinary party member like lakhs of other party members in the state and his party does not take his meeting with Narendra Modi very seriously.
Sadhu Yadav is not even a delegate of the State Congress Committee, he added. Dasai Choudhary, however, holds an important position in the party and hence his meeting with Narendra Modi assumes a greater significance. He is a member of the monitoring committee, constituted for the purpose of supervising the functioning of partyRs s booth committees in the State.
