BJP patriarch lK Advani, who later joined his party colleagues at the luncheon get-together at the party headquarters, maintained there was no question of a hung lok Sabha and he was optimistic that the BJP will emerge as the single-largest party with its highest-ever tally so far.
lashing out at the Congress for its bad governance and corruption, Advani predicted the lowest-ever tally for the oldest party. “There is no question of a hung Parliament,” he said when asked about the outcome of the next lok Sabha elections.
Claiming that the situation was in favour of BJP this time around, he said he has never seen such an atmosphere for his party. “There has never been such a good atmosphere in favour of the BJP. There has never been such a bad situation for the Congress, one of the prominent political parties in the fray. BJP will get the maximum score this time, which will be the highest ever in the history of the party,” he said.
Earlier, Swaraj at the Press conference dismissed SP leaders’ comment that the veteran leader was not given his due in the party. “Advani is our top leader,” she said. Party president Rajnath Singh and other senior leaders also attended the lunch.
