The new system will work on latest 4G spectrum to deliver traffic updates through a wireless network. Digital display boards will be put at smaller distances on the Expressway, which will inform commuters about traffic disruption, congestion, accident and other conditions well in advance to avoid inconvenience. The system will need installation of 144 CCTVs at every 1-km's distance for better monitoring, and enforcement of traffic rules.
