Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday hit back at his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar and said Bihar's condition was chaotic. He also termed Nitish's total prohibition policy a 'nautanki' (drama) and said that the Bihar CM was trying to take political mileage out of it by making false propaganda across the country despite the fact that illicit liquor was being freely sold in the State.
Das was here to attend a felicitation function organised by Bihar Teli Samaj. "Nitish has adopted prohibition policy not to serve the society but to befool them and project himself as a social crusader," Das said.
Nitish had attended meetings held by anti-liquor organisations in Dhanbad and Ranchi and had challenged the Jharkhand CM to ban liquor and adopt the Gujarat policy if not happy with the Bihar policy.
He had also accused Raghubar Das of not cooperating in implementation of prohibition policy and allowed opening of new outlets on Bihar-Jharkhand borders.
Das also took on Nitish for the recent Maoist operation, in which ten commandos of CRPF were killed in IED blasts in Aurganabad district. The Jharkhand CM said Bihar should follow the Jharkhand policy against Naxalism.
