In order to achieve magic figure of 272 seats to ensure next NDA Government under BJP, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi gave new target of 28 seats instead of 26 seats to the BJP workers in Gujarat.
“Apart from all 26 seats from Gujarat, we will have to win two other seats in adjoining Union Territories — Dadara & Nagar Haveli as well as Daman, Diu & Silvassa,” said BJP’s PM candidate while addressing a large gathering of party workers in presence of Advani at Koba in Gandhinagar.
“I have full faith in party workers. They will employ even more strength, attract more votes and ensure more voting to make BJP victorious not only in Gandhinagar but in entire Gujarat and two seats in UT,” said Modi.
He claimed that the rival Congress party would not able to touch double digit in any of Indian state. The tempo visible in public suggests that Congress will face even worse defeat compared to emergency this time.
Former deputy Prime Minister lK Advani said that perhaps first time in the history of India’s general elections, people had given verdict even before they utilized their right to vote. “Such thing happens rarely,” he added.
