The Mumbai-bound GoAir flight G8, which had left Bhubaneshwar 8.20 am, was diverted to Nagpur on Saturday morning, following a bomb threat call.
“The diverted flight landed in Nagpur at 9.29 pm. After disembarking 150 passengers from the aircraft, checks were conducted by the airport security. No explosive was board the aircraft,” a GoAir spokesperson said.
After the aircraft received clearance from the authorities, the diverted flight left for Mumbai around noon. “The GoAir officials at Bhubaneshwar immediately informed the local and the Nagpur police. The police are investigating the case,” the spokesperson added.
