Mother and son have ruined the nation: Modi

Addressing an election rally at Srinagar in Uttarakhand, BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi alleged that the State Government has failed to rebuild infrastructure which had been damaged due to cloudburst in June 2013. For this the Congress-led UPA and Congress-led Uttarakhand Government are responsible. He further alleged that the Congress has ruined the nation and he appealed the public to vote for the BJP. This election is being fought for the betterment of democratic system, he said.

“The mother-son Government has de-established the nation and corruption has reached its peak. In this election, on one side is maa-beta and on the other side is a tea seller, one side is a namdar (famous) and on the other side is a kaamdar (worker), both are in the fray. Now you decide who will realise the sufferings of the poor,” said Modi while addressing a large gathering at a public meeting held on GI and TI ground in Srinagar on Saturday.

Modi addressed the public meeting to seek mandate for BJP candidate Maj Gen BC Khanduri, who is contesting from Garhwal parliamentary constituency. Seeing the large gathering, which was around 35,000, Modi said he had not seen such double-decker gathering in other parts of the nation because the area was surrounded by house and people were seen struggling hard to get a space even on the terrace of the house and stressed that this is the indication that the mother-son Government is taking its last breath.

In a bid to associate himself with Uttarakhand, Modi said that he has a deep relation with Uttarakhand and during his work in the organisation he learnt many things. last year during the June disaster, he could not stop himself from coming to Uttarakhand, to do something and to help the victims of the disaster, but the Congress-led State Government stopped him from coming and he had to return back. Politics has become so dirty that even pious work could not be conducted.
