A regular reader of this column wishes to know as to what lies in store of her destiny. But at the same time she asserts that she doesn’t believe in astrology, palmistry, tarot cards and such destiny-defining disciplines. She, however, believes in the theory of karma. I am not surprised at the lady’s self-contradictory stand. It is obvious, she is not aware that astrology is rooted in the theory of karma itself. In fact, astrology serves as a diagnostic tool to measure the implications of Karmic footprint every being has walked through in the past.
The question that obviously follows: Why such self-contradictory perceptionij That calls for a look into the chemistry of mind. Remember, mind, the prime-mover of a being, is just an instrument, which can’t work in its own right. It takes off on some thought feeds in mind — either carried over from the past or picked up in response to environmental influences in immediate terms. Invariably, we are all born with a stock-pile of seed-thoughts, coming as they may as Karmic carryover from the past birth. This is subject to further add on during the ongoing life also. These thought-seeds involuntarily build a self-belief, which serves as defining principle of individual mind. Based on that, you weigh all issues in hand and form your own individual-specific perception, often at variance with others, and at times with truth as well. Obviously, if the mind is ill-fed from before, it may mislead us. What further plays spoil sport with our mind is the indwelling sense of ego, which doesn’t let us look beyond our self-defined beliefs to weigh options in hand in the right perspective due. In a way, it can be said that we all begin the course of life with a preconditioned mind, which limits the scope of our vision, and with obvious consequences.
It, thus, becomes incumbent upon us to watch out our mind-trends, identify and acknowledge our fault lines, and make necessary amends through fresh educative inputs. Having freed our mind of its limitations, one may look at issues in hand without any preconditioning whatsoever, and pick up the most appropriate lead. Here again, ego often acts as a spoiler. It doesn’t let us acknowledge our fault lines. It is here that astrology can work as a diagnostic tool to dispassionately figure our personality related deficiencies. This aspect of astrology is more important than predicting events in finite terms. For, our mind-trends set the terms of how we negotiate life in real terms. Should we work on the base line, we shall be able to shape our future.
In the above light, let us now look at the astrological pointers to personality trends of the questioner. She carries immense creative potential. For, both the luminaries, the Sun and Moon, are so well aligned to Uranus, a planet with intellectual orientation, as well as Karmic Saturn. It, in the first place, it points to someone carrying inborn leadership abilities. She would be thorough in her work with an eye even on bare details. Second, she has an innovative and inventive mind capable of out of box thinking. Third, she is insightful having strong intuitive sense. Born when Cancer lagna sign was rising, she has strong humane sense as well. All put together can help her make it big in life in her own right.
The negatives in her too are no less that stand in way of her potential side blooming out in full. For, the lagna lord Moon occupies the fiery sign Aries. This by itself is enough to make out an impulsive, aggressive, impatient, intolerant, and a domineering person. She may jump into action without applying proper forethought. It is only when faced with crisis situation that she may apply her mind. She wishes to be at the command of everything, as if all others were inferior, no matter they are elders or superiors. That may not let her be on even terms with those around. Mars locks horns with Uranus, Saturn, and Neptune. This, in the first place, implies being temperamental. Second, she will be suspicious of others, and carrying revengeful tendency. Third, it may become difficult for her to digest failure, where after she is vulnerable to develop inferiority complex. If all that would not be enough intelligence signifying Mercury is placed adverse to Neptune, which accounts for her insensible reasoning and judgment at times.I wish, she addresses her negatives without further loss of time, if she wishes to come out with her best.
