For the first time since he became Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi is organising hi-tech Gujarati New Year get-together to reach out to all 26 lok Sabha constituencies in the State. The functions will be held for four days with a big screen installed in specific locations of the constituencies.
In run-up to the general elections, BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, used video-conferencing facility on Saturday and addressed a large gathering of BJP workers in six lok Sabha constituencies, including Valsad, Bardoli, Chhota Udepur, Dahod, Panchmahal and Bharuch and greeted them.
In his speech, Modi said that the BJP is the only party which would be able to save the nation from the current chaos. “In every corner of the country, the BJP is getting unprecedented support and to fulfill people’s expectations BJP workers would be wroking extremely hard, especially from Gujarat. It is because of lakhs of BJP workers since last 12 years that the party has reached its current stature. The next 200 days would be like a litmus test for us. The next general elections would be important for the building of nation as well as strengthening democracy,” he said.
On Sunday, Modi would meet people of another eight lok Sabha constituencies that include Surat, Navsari, Vadodara, Gandhinagar, Banaskantha, Rajkot and two constituencies in Ahmedabad through Video Conferencing. On November 11th and 12th he would interact with remaining 12 constituencies.
“It is novel idea to reach out to the large number of people in different constituencies simultaneously. In the last elections, Modi’s innovative initiative to organised 3-D public meeting clicked and well appreciated by the people. Similarly, response to the New Year get-togethers using technology was enormous,” said a senior BJP leader.
