In yet another road rage incident involving kin of ruling alliance leader was reported from Aurangabad district on Friday night which came as a shocking reminder of Gaya incident four months back.
Kunal, son of RJD lawmaker Birendra Sinha did what Rocky Yadav, son of JD(U) MlC Manorma Devi did on May 7. If Rocky shot dead one teenaged boy Aditya Sachdeva who dared to overtake his SUV, Kunal knifed one Pintu Kumar and left him seriously wounded when the youth on a bike took time in giving side to MlA’s son’s car.
Enraged over it Kunal overtook the bike, stopped Pintu and stabbed him. This incident took place near a petrol pump on Aurangabad-Patna road under Daudnagar Police Station. Kunal’s father Birendra Sinha is RJD MlA from Obra. He is also mukhiya of Akoraha panchayat.
Pintu was shifted to Patna as his condition became critical. His father Gopal Singh has filed an FIR naming Kunal and his associate Sagar. The police arrested Kunal after midnight, said Aurangabad SP Satya Prakash. “The police arrested Kunal from his house and was being interrogated.” The SP said the stabbing incident took place around 10 in the night and police arrested Kunal after midnight.
It is reported that Kunal had recently been accused of attacking the house of a trader for not giving extortion and opened fire there. His father however claimed that it was a conspiracy to defame him.
Aurangabad district BJP leader Purshottam Singh said the unabated incidents of crime involving leaders of ruling alliance only proved their charge of the return of jungle raj. He said the leaders of the ruling alliance and their kin were taking law into their hands and the Government has shut its eyes.
