Masterstroke

Cooking is an art and not all of us have managed to master it. More often than not, most of us end up putting too much salt in a dish. If you already don’t know the tried and tested hacks here’s what you need to do. Use potatoes. Chop a couple of potatoes and throw it in the dish and cook it for 15-20 minutes over low flame. Potatoes absorb extra salt within minutes. You can remove the potatoes once the excess salt has been absorbed. Small dough balls can do the trick as well. Remember, don’t leave them in the gravy for too long.

Use milk or cream. Add some milk or cream to the dish besides adding extra flavour, it will take care of the saltiness. One can use dahi as well.

Use lemon juice. Besides adding that zing to the dish and giving it a twist that will wow your guests, it will take care of the excess salt in the dish.
