Union Parliamentary and Minorities Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Saturday said that “masters of corruption” are unable to digest “corruption-free, development oriented” system provided by the Modi Government at the Centre.
Addressing people at “Progress Panchayat” at village Jagatpur Patti, Shyamnagar and Government Girls Inter College, Jaspur, in Uttarakhand, Naqvi said that “clean, honest and transparent system” at the centre has resulted into socio-economic-educational empowerment of poor, weaker sections and the Minorities on the ground level.
The Minister said that “Progress Panchayat” has nothing to do with votes but it’s a “draft of development”. “Progress Panchayat”, launched on September 29, 2016 from Mewat in Haryana, have been “successful in winning trust of the people as well as making them a part of development process”, according to a statement issued by Naqvi’s office
The Minister said that the Modi Government has been moving forward forempowerment of all needy people including Minorities with mantra of “Vikas Bhi, Vishwas Bhi”.
Naqvi said that only preparing policies and schemes on paper is not sufficient but it was necessary that these schemes produce results on the ground. “The Ministry should go to the people, listen to their problems and resolve them. Then only, we will be able to provide fruits of development even to the last person of the society”, he said.
He stressed the need to make minorities aware of programmes launched for their welfare.
“Progress Panchayat” will prove to be an effective mission for this purpose. Informing the people about schemes of the Minority Affairs Ministry, Naqvi said.
