Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari and sitting Member of Parliament (MP) north east, who is re- contesting against Delhi Congress chief and three-time Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, and Aam Aadmi party’s Dilip Pandey, kicked off the 15 km-roadshow from MIG flats in north-east Delhi to Loni road, covering areas like Shahadra, Jagatpuri and Mansarovar park.

Tiwari along with hundreds of BJP workers participated in the road show and raised slogans in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The traffic in the area came to a standstill, as people thronged on the streets to get a glimpse of the Bhojpuri actor and singer.

The BJP leader has held a similar road show in his constituency while filing his nomination earlier this week.

South Delhi BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri also held meeting with booth workers team in Ambedkar Nagar.

Echoing PM Modi’s  programme  of “Swatch kumbh swatch aabhar” , Bidhuri said that BJP is a party of every class.” “PM Modi is thinking for each citizen irrespective of class,” said BJP MP from South Delhi constituency.

Bidhuri held meetings with BJP workers in Madangiri and Dakshinpuri. Bidhuri also mentioned about Balakot air strike while addressing people in his constituency.

Raising slogan “Mera Booth Sabse Majboot”, Bhiduri asked BJP workers to educate masses about their right o vote.

Refuting allegations against him, Bidhuri said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Raghav Chaddha and Manish sisodia have already accepted their defeat.

Citing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP’s)  South Delhi Lok Sabha candidate Raghav Chadha’s complaint  against him , Bidhuri said that his nomination papers are correct and based on facts.

“Returning officer also accepted his nomination and concerned authorities found nothing wrong against my nomination papers,” said Bidhuri  while appealing  people not  to believe  on  AAP’ allegation against him.

Notably, on Saturday, Chadha has filed a writ petition on Saturday, , seeking disqualification of his challenger and BJP’s candidate from South Delhi Ramesh Bidhuri from the poll fight in Delhi. Chadha, in his writ petition, has challenged the decision of the Returning Officer for accepting nomination papers of Bidhuri despite concealment of important facts.

Meanwhile, Meenakshi Lekhi and Dr Harsh Vardhan also held rallies in their respective constituencies. Lekhi who is sitting MP from New Delhi is re- contesting against Congress leader Ajay Makan.

The elections on all the seven seats in the national capital are scheduled on May 12, in the sixth phase of polling.
