In straight tit-for-tat to Mani Shankar Aiyar’s outrageous tea-selling comment to the media at the AICC meet on Friday, the BJP wants the Congressman to start a bar in Goa.
“Because that’s the best possible place for Aiyar,” Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State vice president Wilfred Misquita told reporters here, taking strong objection to Aiyar’s controversial offer to Modi to sell tea at the AICC session. “Instead of talking about starting tea shops at AICC headquarters, Aiyar should think about starting a wholesale liqour and bar for himself in Goa,” Goa BJP vice president Wilfred Mesquita said.
“I am totally willing to help him if he starts the liquor business in Goa,” he further said. Aiyer, in his comments to the media at the All India Congress Committee meet in Delhi had tried to ridicule Modi and his chances of becoming Prime Minister of India. “I give my word, Modi will never be PM in the 21st century. If he wants to sell tea here (AICC meet),we can arrange for it,” Aiyer had said, taking a dig at Modi. Modi has in the past, has frankly admitted that he used to tea at a railway station in Gujarat as a child.
