A 27-year-old man died of electrocution while working in a plastic factory at Outer Delhi’s Narela on Saturday, police said.
According to a senior police official, the deceased has been identified as Rathnesh Kumar, alias Sonu, who worked as a labourer in the factory.
Around 6 am on Saturday, Rathnesh’s co-workers found him lying on the ground unconscious.
According to eyewitness, the deceased accidently touched an open wire. He fell on the floor and was not responding to anyone. “When he was not responding to anyone we got scared. We called other people for help and also informed police about the incident,” said the labourer.
“We sent one team to the spot which rushed Rathnesh to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead,” said the police official.
The body was sent for post-mortem and further investigations in the matter were initiated.
