Hiten Tejwani endeared himself to viewers playing the dutiful son in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thhi. So, it is not surprising that he is the lead in two serials today and is hosting a reality show as well. He speaks with MANJARI SINGH about how he manages his time and when he will work with his wife again
You are doing two daily shows. How do you manage hosting a reality showIJ
My shows, Pavitra Rishta and Kya Hua Tera Vada are from the same production house, so it makes it easy for me. I don’t have to travel from one place to another. It gets a bit hectic but that’s fine. It’s nothing that can’t be managed.
What made you choose Savdhan IndiaIJ
When I was offered the show, it sounded like something that I had always wanted to do. It’s a crime show and through it we are making the public aware of the threats around them. I am glad to be a part of the show. Another thing that attracted me to it was that I am not playing any character. It’s Hiten Tejwani in front of the camera.
You are liking the showIJ
Absolutely. Many actors walk out of daily soap saying they find it boring and monotonous. I am glad to be part of Savdhan India. As a host, it gives me a break from playing fiction characters and adds variety to my work.
So, how do take time out for your familyIJ
It’s difficult when I am doing two serials and a reality show but then I work for three months continuously and then take a short break. This way, I am able to give time to my wife and children.
When are we going to see you and Gauri togetherIJ
This is the question everybody asks and I feel happy that we make a good pair onscreen and people love us. let us see when we get an offer that excites both of us. When that happens everybody will come to know about it. But, for now, she is busy being a full-time mother. However, she is getting a lot of offers, she will consider them after our twins grow up.
