look within to reach your best

Every being is born unique, each carrying varying mind-set, coming as it may as a Karmic carryover from the past life. Imprints of the skillsets acquired; the experiences had; and unfulfilled desires, set the terms of one’s destiny-trends. This, evidently would vary from person-to-person, according as particular set of experiences one would have gone through in the past. This, of course is subject to modification through learning and unlearning during the ongoing life. Provided, one is conscious about identifying and acknowledging one’s unique nature, which evidently carries a baggage mix of both good and bad. Or as brought up by parents and teachers.

The paradox, however, is that seldom does anybody care to explore and figure out one’s own self. For, a large majority of people carry the belief that the course of destiny and one’s inherent nature is beyond the scope of modification. Invariably, people flow to the current of one’s mind-trends, or under the tempting influences of the illusionary seeming world.

The irony, however, is that when put in a difficult situation, instead of trying to figure out the underlying reasons, and fix the loose ends, if any, look for remedial measures. Is it not self-contradictoryIJ On one hand you believe that what is preordained is beyond the scope of change. But at the same time, you wish to appease external forces seeking thy boon to find reprieve. It is really difficult to digest that planets and heavenly bodies, bereft of discriminatory abilities, and available in equal proportion to all, could selectively grant wishes to one’s asking.

The question that obviously follows is, “Are we so helplessly fatedIJ” Certainly not. You just need to look within. Once you get into the process, first you will be able to know your own unique nature – inherent desire trends; likes and dislikes; prejudices and passions; habits and attitudes; as well as indwelling potentials. That may make you aware of what needs to be corrected and the inlaid potentials calling for further honing. Continuing the inward search further, one may become aware of immense potential otherwise lying dormant. If one could unfold full human potential, it will know no limits.

The question now is: “Is it achievableIJ” Truth of life is that in a transient world, where the process of change remains an ongoing phenomenon, nothing can be expected to be beyond alteration. So, how can destiny deny the scope of modificationIJ You just need to know yourself. The paradox, however, is that our ego does not let us dispassionately figure out the basic fabric of our making. Astrology proves handy in this respect. For, being premised on the study of energy mapping of a being at the time of one’s birth, it does the job with precision, as energy knows no bias.

A case in point is that of an ambitious young man who, having failed in realising his dream, came looking for remedial measures desperately. Rather than seeking help from external forces, he was advised to address his own inherent weaknesses, as reflected by his astrological markers. The lagna and 10th lord Jupiter in its own sign over the head; Mars, the lord of destiny signifying 9th house as well as 2nd house marked with earning; finance indicator Venus; are all posited in fiery signs. This, read together with the formidable Sun rising in the lagna sign, speak of his high ambitions and immense potential.

What stands in the way of his positives, in the first place, are the implications of mind signifying Moon occupying a fixed sign, and placed adverse to Saturn as well as Neptune. It points to a fixated one track mind, not easily amenable to change. He would be stuck to fanciful dream perceptions, distanced from ground realities, which he may passionately pursue without reality check. He may not acknowledge truth on its first appearance and would rather continue moving on hope against hope till pushed to the wall. Second, Mercury in debilitation opposite Uranus, accounts for his impaired reasoning and judgment. Third, Venus placed adverse to the Sun and restive Rahu, make him crave for quick financial gains. Also, he is too much touchy and sensitive, whereby he gets over-exercised on trivial issues, thus unnecessarily dissipating his vitals. He got into entrepreneurial venture without being well geared up for the game, and inevitable had to follow.

The good thing is that he listened to the counsel, and religiously followed the measures suggested. Now with relatively reformed mind-set, he has begun to regain his lost ground.
