lok Sabha MP Meenakshi lekhi sought the integration of Raksha, a panic button app designed for the safety of women, with the police system. She also urged setting up a “crisis centre” in Delhi to redress various other grievances. “If a woman senses danger she just has to press the panic button and within three seconds — with the help of Google — this app sends an automatic message to the authorities concerned. This should be integrated with the police system to ensure timely action,” lekhi said.
