In its bid to provide world class infrastructure at Delhi Government schools so as to make them stand at par with the best private players in the education sector, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Deputy  Manish Sisodia on Saturday inaugurated swimming pools at two Government schools, Rajkiya Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya (West Vinod Nagar) and Annie Besant Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya (Pocket-B, Mayur Vihar- Phase II).

Addressing the gathering, Kejriwal said, “AAP Government is committed to provide quality education. By setting up of world class facilities at Delhi Government schools, our Government has set up an example for other States who want to transform their schools into model schools”.

While, Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister, Manish Sisodia in his address to the students said, “We can only provide facilities and infrastructure but it is up to you how would you take advantage of these facilities and make us proud in future.”

“The makeover of Government schools has changed the mindset of parents and now they are sending their kids to Government schools,” said Sisodia.

The Aam Aadmi Party Government has bought a huge transformation in the overall ambience of Government schools with proper facilities for the students and the teachers, multi-storey school buildings, well-equipped computer labs, CCTV surveillance and big playgrounds.  The efforts of the Delhi Government have started bearing fruits as a sizeable number of students have joined these schools, leaving private schools in their vicinities.
