In order to make North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NMC) self-reliant by developing various underutilised properties in the jurisdiction, Chairman of Standing Committee Tilak Raj Kataria has proposed a number of projects including the redevelopment of staff colony at Model Town and Azadpur. Kataria said that NMC is working toward generating its own revenue sources to become self-reliant. “There are various underutilised properties in the jurisdiction of North DMC which can be a great source of revenue. We are also exploring various other areas to boost the income,” he said.
He further said that the site of cup and saucer at Minto Road for commercial projects have also been cleared by the Standing Committee for engaging developer for redevelopment.
