A Mumbai metropolitan Magistrate’s court on Saturday extended the judicial custody of Indrani Mukerjea, key accused in the Sheena Bora murder case and two other accused, till November 7.

While extending the judicial custody of Indrani and two other accused — her second husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyamvar Rai — Magistrate N B Shinde granted further permission to the CBI to interrogate the three accused in the jail.

Saturday’s was the first occasion when all the three accused were produced for the first time before the court together, after the CBI took over the investigations from the Mumbai police on September 29.

The CBI told the court that it had interrogated Indrani during judicial custody twice and it wanted to interrogate her once again. Magistrate Shinde allowed the CBI to interrogate Indrani and two accused in the jail till October 31.  Indrani was arrested on August 25 for her alleged role in the murder of Sheena Bora, her daughter from her first marriage with Siddharth Das.
