Mantra bids adieu to Jhalak

Call him an RJ, actor, comedian, host or an amature dancer, Mantra has kept no stone unturned to to prove his mettle. But he was in for a huge disappointment as he was evicted from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (JDJ) this week. A wild card entrant and barely two weeks old, Mantra impressed the judges with a racy hip hop act on Honey Singh’s popular High Heels, which he himself had even rapped for. Mantra was also seen dedicating a special 60s act to the legendary Kishore Kumar, dancing to a compilation of Kumar’s most popular hits. Commenting on his elimination Mantra stated, “I didn’t join the show to compete. I only wanted to learn how to dance. Perhaps that’s why I’m out of the show so quickly”. Tune in to Colors at 9pm.

JDJ nautanki style

Its costume drama this weekend on JDJ and the contestants are trying hard to impress the judges, Arjun Rampal and Rishi Kapoor who came to promote their movie D-Day. Everyone seems to have undergone complete transformations for their respective performances. Shaan, who has previously dressed as a lion and a wolf, will be seen in a snake’s skin, while Karanvir Bohra will dress as a woman to do a lavani item. Mukti Mohan will be donning the role of Shiv to do a tandav whereas Siddharth Shukla will take up robotics.
