Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who was admitted to Apollo Hospitals late Thursday night following fever and dehydration continues under observation, according to a medical bulletin issued by the hospital on Saturday. “The CM of Tamil Nadu is under observation. She is on a normal diet,” S Viswanathan, chief operating officer, Apollo Hospitals, said in the bulletin. A galaxy of VIPs, including PM, Tamil Nadu Governor Vidyasagar Rao, the father-son duo of DMK’s M Karunanidhi and MK Stalin, CMs of Karnataka and Puducherry extended their speedy recovery wishes to Jayalalithaa. Meanwhile, AIADMK spokesperson CR Saraswathi said Jayalalithaa was fine and her fever has come down.
Prime Minister Modi sent a letter and a bouquet of flowers to Jayalalithaa on Friday evening. “Dear Dr Jayalalithaaji, I wish you a speedy recovery”, Modi said in his letter. Jayalalithaa thanked the Prime Minister for his wishes and sent a reply to him.
