Jashodaben Modi, wife of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday filed yet another appeal with the RTI commissioner here on security protocols and her entitlements as wife of the PM. Interestingly, Jashodaben was denied information on the subject earlier. In November 2014, she had filed an application under the RTI Act with Mehsana police seeking details of the security provided to her after Modi became prime minister.
Apart from her entitlement as PM’s wife, she had also demanded information about the duties of the men deployed for her security and on whose orders do they travel in government vehicles when she travels in public vehicles. Her brother Ashok Modi said that she has filed an appeal with the RTI Commissioner as she did not get the answers of her questions asked earlier. Her lawyer Sandip Modi said that she had filed the first appeal to the Mehsana Police Superintendent earlier which too did not elicit satisfactory reply and hence she filed the appeal again.
