Industrialist brokered deal between Cong, AAP to stop BJP: Gadkari

Former National President of BJP and Delhi in-charge Nitin Gadkari on Saturday charged a deal was brokered between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress by a reputed industrialist in a hotel to stop BJP at any cost from coming to power in Delhi, an allegation dismissed as rubbish by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Addressing a party workers’ at felicitation ceremony of newly elected Delhi MlAs at Talkatora Stadium, Gadkari said he was told by a reputed industrialist of the country how a deal was brokered at a hotel in Delhi.

“One of the big industrialists of our country helped make a deal between Arvind Kejriwal and some senior Congress leaders at a big hotel in Delhi. I was personally told about what talks had transpired in that hotel and what all was eaten by the same person. The person who was working as the mediator told me that the policy being made is that BJP has to be stopped at any cost,” Gadkari claimed.

“Congress is now dreaming that since we are finished, we will not allow the BJP to form government and also not let Narendra Modi become the Prime Minister. Understanding this, they (Congress) are making their policies accordingly. If one goes by votes polled in the recently held Assembly elections, BJP is far ahead of its rivals on at least 5 out of 7 lok Sabha seats in Delhi and we will extend our lead to all seven seats now,” Gadkari said.

On the occasion were present leaders of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and lok Sabha Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj with several other senior leaders including leader of legislative party in Delhi Dr Harsh Vardhan and Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel. Addressing the gathering, Swaraj said no one can defeat a united BJP and the party will have to turn the tables on its rivals in the coming lok Sabha polls. She advised that the BJP ruled MCDs should project themselves as the best governed bodies and far ahead of the Delhi Government.

Addressing BJP supporters and leaders who had come to attend this programme from all over the city, leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley said that the AAP has got itself exposed by having an alliance with corrupt Congress party which was completely rejected by the Delhi voters in recently held Assembly polls.
