The IAS AGMUT Cadre Officers Association meet on Saturday condemned the attack on North-West district magistrate Sanjay Goel by BJP MP Udit Raj supporters at district magistrate’s office in Kanjhawala on Thursday. The Association has demanded strict action against those who were involved and also demanded security and better infrastructure for ADMs, SDMs and DMs in the national Capital. The Association has passed a resolution after the meeting.

Interestingly, the Association did not discussed other issues being faced by them in the current political regime, according to sources. Delhi Chief Secretary KK Sharma is the president and Divisional Commissioner A Anbarsu is the secretary of the IAS Association. In the resolution, the IAS AGMUT Cadre Officers Association urged lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the Union Home Ministry to take all possible measures to prevent occurrence of such events in future and provide additional security to all DMs, ADMs and SDMs and their offices in Delhi.

“The Association takes this opportunity to reiterate that such events would not deter the officers from discharging their duties fearlessly and it has further strengthened their resolve to work with  more more vigor, enthusiasm and commitment to the best of their abilities,” the resolution said.
