Start by changing the cushion covvers. There are sveral e-commerce sites from whre you can buy them. If your sofa has a design/floral go for solids that are contrssting in colour but belong to the same colour family. Example: If you have a solid maroon colour sofa seater, cushions can be light grey, charcola, turquiose, golden yellow and umber.
You can also go with design cushins with a print sofa. Be careful: choose colours that match and don’t over do.
