Taking a serious note of protest against builders, the Noida Authority has issued notices to seven prominent builders, including Amrapali Sapphire, Sector 44; Pan Oasis, Sector 70; Divine Meadows, Sector 108; Amrapali Peltium, Sector-119; AVS Orchard Noida sector 77; and Unitech Unihome, Sector-117.
The notices have been issued after inspection carried out by Noida Authority after large number of homebuyers booked houses in group housing societies came forward and lodged their complaints against them. The authority has prepared a list of 35 group housing societies/project where inspection would be carried out. The authority has taken a serious note for not providing facilities to the residents staying on temporary possession by builders and directed builders to provide all facilities to temporary possession holders.
SC Gaur, Chief Architect Planer, the Noida Authority said that authority officials have inspected seven prominent group housing societies n ongoing projects last week. “During the inspection, it was found that all projects were uncompleted. The buyers, who are staying in a few projects on temporary possession, are facing lack of facilities and several other problems, that needs to be resolved immediately,” Gaur said.
According to Gaur, notices have been issued to seven builders to complete project on time. “We have directed builders to complete their project within three to six months. They have also been directed to provide facilities to the residents staying there,” Gaur said, adding “if they won’t provide facilities to buyers, strict action would be taken.”
The Noida authority has taken this initiative after hundreds of homebuyers connected with 35 housing projects have complained to NOIDA with different mediums. Hundreds of homebuyers on Saturday held a protest at outside Amrapali office in Sector-62 to resolve their home issues.
Shweta Bharti, General Secretary, Noida Extension Flat Owners and Members Association (NEFOMA), said, “The homebuyers in Noida are left with only one task: To demonstrate and appeal in the court. The authority and builders are not taking signal efforts to resolve buyers’ issues seriously.”
