Patients and visitors at the lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital (lNJP) on Saturday morning went berserk after a hoax bomb call was received at the Police Control Room (PCR).
The caller had called around 7:30 am and claimed that in half an hour the bomb will blow up the hospital.Police officials immediately reached the location along with the bomb squad and searched every corner of the hospital but the bomb could not be traced.later police identified the number from which the call was made and traced it down to the number of a mother whose daughter was admitted at the hospital. The mother, Gayatri, told the police officials that on Friday night when she was sleeping next to her daughter someone stole her mobile phone. Police officials have undertaken the CCTV footage from the hospital to identify the accused.
The OPD department was put on halt for around one-and-a-half hour causing much trouble to the patients who were waiting outside for their check-ups.
