The Patiala House Court on Saturday witnessed a heated atmosphere during the proceedings over the National Herald case.

On a bright winter afternoon, the security restricted entry to the common people and lawyers practicing at the Patiala House Courts. The lawyers and journalists seemed to be excitedly discussing the technicalities of case and giving their inputs on the legal aspects of court proceedings, involving Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Subramanian Swamy.

The scenario inside the courtroom was also an unavoidable picture. The body language of Sonia and Rahul gave an impression of their keen attention. While Sonia was eagerly listening to what Swamy had to say, Rahul was all smiling.

According to sources, Swamy’s comment on the Gandhis fleeing the country bursted everyone into laughter. Manmohan Singh, who attend the court proceedings in solidarity with the Gandhis, was seen tensed. The former PM, who was standing, was taken to a seat next to his wife by Swamy, sources said.

While being from opposite parties, Swamy, Manmohan Singh, Ahmed Patel and Sheila Dikshit exchanged pleasantries while rest were not seemed to be in that mood, sources said.
