A day after the Jats announced fresh quota agitation from January 29 in Haryana, the Chief Minister Manohar lal on Saturday hit out at Jat leader Yashpal Malik saying that latter is not doing any good by directly or indirectly politicizing the issue of Jat reservation.

“Yashpal Malik should not politicize the issue of Jat reservation,” said the Chief Minister, while talking to the mediapersons here.

Akhil Bharatiya Jat Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti (ABJASS) chief Yashpal had on Friday announced to campaign against BJP in poll-bound states including Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand. He had also announced fresh reservation agitation from January 29 in 19 districts of Haryana.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has appealed to the people to maintain peace and do not   participate in any kind of agitation which is politically motivated.

He said that it is not right to participate in such agitations. Politicizing such agitations is condemnable and this can’t do any good, said he.

The Chief Minister said that as far as Jat reservation is concerned, the State Government has enacted a law and now the issue is with the court.

In reply to a question concerning how to deal with the Jat reservation agitation, the Chief Minister said that if peaceful atmosphere in the state is vitiated, the Government would deal with it.

On being asked about the recommendations of Prakash Singh Committee, he said that the Government would consider only those recommendations that are worth considering and would act on these as it would deem fit.
