To take you to the mouth watering taste of Kashmir, Shangri-la Eros New Delhi hosted a culinary journey with the Chef pin pop-up at Tamra. The pop up showcased the spicy flavours of Kashmir, expertly handpicked by Chef Archana Dhawan. Apart from the Kashmiri flavours, desserts took the show with the pastry Chef Dakshata Agarwal.

Guests were treated to a symphony of Kashmiri delicacies, beginning with a selection of signature appetisers. Chef Dhawan's creations included the crispy Nadur Monji, a delightful fried snack made from lotus stems and gram flour. The delicate Chaman Kanti and aromatic Nadur Aloo Adrek Mond further tantalised the palate. For non-vegetarians, succulent Chicken and Mutton Kanti alongside the traditional Talite Gaad offered a taste of local specialties.

The live theatrical kitchens added a touch of drama, where skilled chefs artfully prepared Kabar Gah and the classic Kaladi Kulcha, each dish carrying a unique story of Kashmir's rich culinary heritage.

The main course was a grand celebration of flavours, where traditional Kashmiri recipes were brought to life with timeless cooking techniques. Vegetarian delights included the famed Dum Aloo, aromatic Chaman Tamatar, and the distinctive Chaman Roganjosh, all complemented by the hearty Haak and Kashmiri Bhaderwah Rajma.

Non-vegetarians were equally indulged with the legendary Mutton Roganjosh, delicate Yakhni, and unique Masch Aloo Bukhara. Fish enthusiasts savored both Tamatar and Nadur preparations. Each dish was served with a selection of breads, including Kashmiri Phulka, accompanied by authentic chutneys – from the nutty Walnut to the tangy Muli and Anardana Pudina variations.

To complete the dining experience, guests were invited to savour the royal Saffron Kheer and enjoy a warming cup of Kahwa, Kashmir's beloved spiced tea.

While Chef Dhawan delighted palates with her authentic Kashmiri creations, Pastry Chef Dakshata Agarwal added a touch of sweetness with her signature dessert collection. The sweet finale featured delicate Chiffon Cakes in two variations - a fresh Strawberry Kiss topped with Chocolate Strawberry Panna Cotta and the rich Chocolate Kiss adorned with Dark Chocolate Cookie Soil.

The indulgence continued with a velvety Chocolate Mousse Caramel embellished with dark chocolate elements, and the standout Bailey’s Chocolate Egg, which guests could enjoy at their table or take home as a memorable treat. Each dessert showcased a perfect blend of classic techniques and contemporary presentation, offering a delightful conclusion to the culinary journey.

The Chef Pin pop-up at Shangri-la Eros New Delhi provided a unique opportunity for guests to experience the essence of Kashmir through its flavourful cuisine and taste.
