Days after Delhi law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar was arrested for an allegedly fake law degree, a former AAP MlA shot off a a letter to Anti-Corruption Branch on Saturday and demanded probes into the educational qualifications of 70 Delhi MlAs — including Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal — as declared in their affidavits to the Election Commission.

In a letter to ACB chief Mukesh Kumar Meena, former AAP MlA Rajesh Garg raised serious doubts about academic degrees presented by AAP MlAs to the EC and urged him to investigate all their educational details. In an interview for a Hindi daily, the rebel leader said that the investigation should be done for those AAP leaders who contested Assembly polls in 2013 and 2015, adding that these MlAs have presented different academic degrees in both these elections.

Garg on Friday filed a complaint at the Prasant Vihar police station against Karol Bagh (Central) MlA Vishesh Ravi for furnishing false declaration of educational credentials in his poll affidavit. “In his 2013 poll affidavit he claimed to have BCom degree from Chaudhary Charan Singh University and 12th marksheet from UP Board. But in 2015 affidavit, he claimed that he was pursuing BA (Programmme) from IGNOU,” Garg had said.
