Hop over to Caffe 9 in outer circle, CP for a never before experience. With over 500 items to choose from at a reasonable price, this is a must visit place for the young and the old alike, says Deebashree Mohanty

If there ever was a holistic restaurant blue print, Caffe 9 at CP defines it to the T. Sample this: The ground floor has a exuberant fine dining set up, the first floor is turned into a buzzy pub with music that pleases. The back side of the restaurant is a haven for pastry and small eat connoisseurs. “This three-in-one concept has  worked wonders for us. We are known for our warm hospitality and with Caffe 9 in CP we have taken that to another level,” the manager informs as he takes you through the various levels in his restaurant.

While the fine dinning shuts at a regular 11 pm, the cafeteria is open till about 3 am for night prowlers to sample the eats which range from a host of freshly made breads to yummy pastries.

The aim is to target all kinds of people — the young, the aged and those who like to experiment. “The cafeteria is a hangout place for youngsters who stop by for light eats. The fine dinning with over 500 items in the menu is a big crowd puller and the pub has been attracting crowd ever since we opened,” he says.

As for the menu at the fine dinning, Caffe 9 is probably the only restaurant around town that dishes out around 500 varieties of food — including continental, chinese, Indian , mediterranean, American and other top cuisines. Their USP: Try the Cow Boy Bar-be-Que burger if you have a thing for burgers. Grilled grounded lamb patty served with salamis, fried egg, cheese & fries in toasted bun is the best burger in town and an absolute  must have. For fish eaters, dig into the oceanic salmon burger (Ocean fresh grilled salmon patty) for a sinful taste. There are a lot of options for vegetarians in every section of the menu as well. When it comes to Indian style cooking, Caffe 9 has a special chef to look into that aspect. The lahsuni murg tikka being a hot favoruite.

Reasonably priced for food and alcohol and a lot to choose from, the restaurant is our best pick for the week.
