Evelyn Sharma has a busy 2015 with three movies and a lot of albums lined up for this year. She tells Deebashree Mohanty that she was feeling unsettled in the industry, but now it’s home to her
She is hot and super glam but singer actress Evelyn Sharma wants to be known as chirpy and vivacious. “I don’t think I have that great a bod. But I am very exuberant and and honest to the core,” the actress who featured in movies like Main Tera Hero and Yaarian among other movies, asserts. The German born Indian actress tells you that although she gets excited when she is offered a role in Bollywood, it is her singing that she considers her USP.
“I have just finished recording for a wonderful song and there are a couple of them waiting in the pipeline. There is a special album called khudaiya that is also very close to my heart,” Sharma says. Khudaiya which has been sung and directed by YouTube sensation Shrey Singhal has already been topping the music charts.
“There is a very cute story behind this particular number. Shrey happens to be a great fan of my work and had been wanting to work with me for a very long time. He had even been hounding my management to fix up a meeting with him. I was not sure who he was so, I kept ignoring his umpteen requests. Until I found out that he is one of the biggest stars in YouTube with a lot of fan following. I was very impressed with his compositions and immediately contacted him,” Sharma says.
Ask her about the short bikini shoot for Valentines magazine and the leggy actress starts blushing.“I am so glad people are liking that bold look. I was quite conscious while doing the shoot but decided to go ahead with it. It is very tastefully done,” she says, adding that she has achieved this hour glass figure all thanks to yoga and mindful dieting. She has just wrapped up her film Ishqdariyan and is going to begin shooting for Kuch Kuch locha Hai with Sunny leone and Ram Kapoor.
“Ishqdariyan is a mix of ishq and yaariyan. This is going to be my first solo lead so I am excited and nervous at the same time. KKlH is a big ticket movie with some very reputed stars. The moment I learnt Sunny leone is a part of this situational comedy, I wanted to be a part of it too,” the actor who looks up to Kajol and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for inspiration, says.
