All students weren't as fortunate as him. The problems in the admission process were many including absence of original documents and the slow functioning of the official DU website.

"The admission process is a bit confusing. They were first asking for an undertaking in lieu of the original Class XII certificate. But, now they are not admitting me." said Deepa Goyal a student who secured 98.75 per cent from ludhiana and is seeking admission in Sri Ram College of Commerce in Economics (Hons).

Help desks were set up by ABVP in various colleges. Around 100 admissions took place in Hansraj College, 40 in Kirorimal and 125 in Daulat Ram according to ABVP members. These numbers are destined to change.

There were 2.5 lakh applications for 54,000 undergraduate seats of various DU Colleges. "Eligible candidates are advised to complete their admission formalities in the college concerned within the stipulated time as notified on the website", a release issued by the varsity said.
