leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta on Saturday asked all three civic agencies to immediately de-seal all shops, residential plots and mix use properties that were sealed on directions of Supreme Court appointed "Monitoring Committee".
Gupta said all these establishments now fulfill the parameters of Master Plan-2021, after it was amended by Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
He further said recommendations made by the DDA for amending Master Plan-2021 have already been accepted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and notified. Now these amendments have become legal and operative, he said.
Gupta also said he will also meet the lieutenant Governor to demand immediate de-sealing of the sealed shops and properties. He further demanded that all the three Municipal Corporations should frame guidelines for permanent regularisation of sealed properties in regard of Master Plan-2021 and implement them forthwith so that businessmen can earn their livelihood fearlessly.
He said till these guidelines are framed and implemented, these shops be de-sealed at least temporarily so that thousands of shopkeepers who became jobless due to de-sealing of their shops are able to restart their work.
