Cong to hold 'Jan Aakrosh' marches

Flaying the Centre over public inconvenience due to demonetisation of high-denomination currency on November 8, the Delhi Congress on Saturday said it will hold ‘Jan Aakrosh’ (public anger) protest marches in all 70 Assembly constituencies on Sunday.

It also said that Congress workers will hold a demonstration outside the Prime Minister’s residence here on November 23 to protest against lack of proper arrangement on the part of the Government and resultant chaotic conditions prevailing in the country.

Congress Delhi unit chief Ajay Maken told reporters, “the Delhi Congress will bring out a booklet ‘Note pe Charcha’ before party workers and leaders march to Modi’s residence on November 23.

“He (Modi) has not bothered to be present in Parliament to explain to Parliamentarians and the people on the chaotic implementation of the demonetisation decision,” the Congress leader said.

“India has a Prime Minister who decides first, thinks later and listens to no one,” Maken said.

“When glaring mistakes and bungling are noticed, anyone asking questions is branded anti-national,” he added.

Taking a potshot at the Centre over the death of over 55 people allegedly connected to the demonetisation decision, the Congress leader said: “The last 10 days have seen tragic deaths of 55 innocent people. What was their faultIJ” These incidents expose the reality of the Government’s ‘Tughlaqi farman’ (autocratic decision).”
