Communist movements the world over have lost all relevance, P Parameswaran, director of RSS think tank Bharateeya Vichara Kendram, has said.
Inaugurating the 31st State conference of the Kendram at Cherthala in Kerala’s Alappuzha district on Saturday, Parameswaran said that Communism, which had once generated an impression of being an ideology opposed to capitalism in the global level, had failed in both theory and practice.
What communists in India were doing was to work against the majority community and appease minorities under the garb of secularism, he said.
“They are denying party members who are Hindus the right to observe their religious customs while providing space for performing similar rituals to those belonging to other communities,” Parameswaran said.
