Delhiites got some respite from the ‘maximum melt’ on Saturday as mercury settled at 38.6°C after hovering above the 40°C mark for the last several days. According to a MeT Department, the dip in temperature was recorded due to partly cloudy skies and thundery developments in some areas of the national Capital. Smart showers were also reported in some areas overnight.
Similar weather is expected to remain on Sunday as well. The day temperature on Saturday was normal for this part of the year. Maximum temperature had settled at 41.7°C on Friday, which was three degrees above normal.
